  • You can book an appointment online at a time that suits you, choosing either an online session or an in-person session in Coburg.

You don’t need a referral to get started. Some mums choose to visit their GP beforehand to access Medicare rebates, but this isn’t required to book.

If you’re feeling unsure about reaching out, that’s completely understandable. Many parents feel this way at first. Taking that first step can feel big.

If it helps, you’re always welcome to get in touch with a question before booking.

Reach out or book your first session

  • Yes, absolutely!

Many mums attend sessions while caring for their baby, and of course, you’re always welcome to do whatever you need during our time together — feeding or settling your baby.

Online sessions via Zoom can be especially helpful in the early postpartum period, allowing you to stay in the comfort of your home.

Toddlers can be a little trickier (as they tend to keep you busy!), but some parents find ways to make it work at home.

If you do have someone to care for your baby during your session, it can also be a valuable opportunity to have some uninterrupted time just for you. But you are always welcome exactly as you are.

  • No, you don’t need a referral to book an appointment.

A referral is only needed if you’d like to access a Medicare rebate.

  • Yes.

With a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate.

After you pay the full session fee, a $145.25 rebate is typically processed and returned to your Medicare-linked bank account within 48 hours.

  • No, you can go ahead and book your appointment first to secure a time that suits you.

You can then organise your GP appointment and referral before your psychology session.

This helps you secure a spot and be ready with a referral by the time of your appointment.

  • Yes, both options are available.

I offer in-person psychology sessions at my office in Coburg, as well as online therapy via Zoom for clients across Australia.

This flexibility can make it easier to access support in a way that fits around your life and your baby.

Book a session in Coburg or online via Zoom

  • Online sessions are held via Zoom and are designed to be simple and flexible.

Many mums find telehealth especially helpful during pregnancy and postpartum, when leaving the house can feel like a big task.

You’re welcome to attend sessions in whatever way feels most comfortable — whether that’s in relaxed clothes (last night’s pyjamas) at home, while feeding your baby, or in a quiet private space.

Many mums join their Zoom call from their parked car too. Whatever works for you.

  • The first session is all about getting to know each other.

We’ll talk through what’s been going on for you, and I’ll ask you some questions about your mental health, relationships, pregnancy and birth experience, and current supports.

This helps me understand the bigger picture of your life, so we can tailor your support in a way that feels right for you.

There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We go at your pace.

  • This varies depending on your needs and what’s happening in your life.

Some mums attend weekly sessions, especially in the beginning, while others prefer to come less frequently.

We’ll decide together on a rhythm that feels supportive and manageable, and adjust this over time as things evolve.

  • Yes, I love having sessions in Portuguese and you’re very welcome to speak in Portuguese if that feels more comfortable. Many mums find it easier to express themselves in their first language, especially when talking about their emotional experiences.

I also support mothers who are raising children away from their home country or family, which can feel isolating at times.

If you’re looking for a Portuguese-speaking psychologist for pregnancy, postpartum, or early parenting, you’re very welcome here.

  • Yes.

I support many women with ADHD through pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. This stage of life can often bring out ADHD traits in new ways, and your old tools and systems may not work the same way for you anymore.

Whether you have a formal diagnosis or you’re just beginning to wonder if ADHD might be part of your experience, you’re very welcome here.

Our work together can focus on understanding how your brain works, building practical strategies that fit your life, and supporting you with compassion (not pressure).

  • The best way to reach me is by email: admin@mumsinmindpsychology.com.au.

I do have a mobile number too, it’s on silent while I’m in sessions! So email is usually the quickest way to hear back.

If you’re unsure about anything, you’re very welcome to reach out with a question.

If you still have questions or just want to check whether this feels like the right fit, feel free to get in touch. I’m always happy to help you decide on your next step.
